Top 100 Bible Verses to Provide Comfort

Why Use Bible Verses for Comfort?

For believers, there is nothing in this world that is more comforting than God’s love. God’s love for His creation is bountiful and pure, for although He could not contend with creation any longer because of the sin and wickedness found within humankind’s hearts (Genesis 6:3-7), He continues to work to this very day to reconnect back to His creation (John 5:17). While we are undeserving of His grace and love, God has not given up, therefore, we should not. Initially, it may seem difficult to derive comfort for a couple words on a page, however in the Bible the word is God (John 1:1) and the word is living and active and can pierce our heart (Hebrews 4:12). Before we lean upon our own understanding to give comfort, let us firstly look toward God and His word.

Here are 100 verses from the word of God that will bring comfort to your everyday life.
